Our Mission and Values

Mission

Our mission is to Love God, Love Others, and Reach the World.

We believe this mission statement captures well the New Testament's emphasis on the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Values

  1. Expositional Preaching: We value the expositional preaching of God’s Word. Occasionally, our sermon series is topical to teach particular doctrines, but our primary diet is verse-by-verse expositional preaching through books of the Bible.
  2. Gospel-Ordered Worship: We value corporate worship that rehearses and is ordered by the gospel of grace. Our services include a call to worship, confession & assurance, Scripture readings, pastoral prayer, the preaching of the Word, and congregational singing. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
  3. Baptist Distinctives: As a Baptist Church, we joyfully hold to Baptist distinctives. These distinctives include the necessity of personal conversion, a regenerate church, believers’ baptism, congregational governance, and religious liberty.
  4. Missional Living: Baptists are a great commission people. We long to be faithful to the great commission in Waxhaw and throughout Union County.  We desire every member to live as a gospel missionary in their community, place of employment, and areas of recreation.
