HBCKids!

HBC Kids seeks to partner with parents to make disciples who love God, love others, and reach the world. We are blessed to have Jessie Grant as our dedicated children's director who coordinates all the ministries under HBC Kids.  Jessie would love to connect with you about how HBC can serve your family. 

There is a Nursery available during Sunday morning services for babies through three years old. The Nursery area is located in the Helms Children Center and is staffed by qualified adults who desire to serve the Lord by ministering to children. The nursery area has age-appropriate toys, learning areas for puzzles and storytime, an area for babies to be rocked and comforted,  and easy access to bathrooms and water.

Along with the nursery, we have several opportunites for both discipleship and fellowship: 

1.  Sunday School: We have three Sunday School classes based on age groups which currently uses Explore the Bible from Lifeway. 

  • 3 years old- Kindergarten is taught by our children's director, Jessie Grant. This class meets in the Helms Children's Center 
  • 1st grade-2nd grade is taught by Pat Snodgrass, a faithful longtime member of HBC who has a passion for discipling children. This class meets in the Helm's Childrens Center. 
  • 3rd grade-5th grade is taugth by Frank Snograss, a faithful longtime member of HBC who loves investing in young families. 

2. Children's Church: We value families worshipping together, but we also aim to come alongside familes during the early years. Students from Pre-K to 2nd grade have the opporunity to fellowshipn in children's church which uses Bible Studies for Life from Lifeway. 

3. HBCKids: During our evening services, HBC Kids meets in the FLC for bible lessons, food, games, and fellowship. During this time, your child will have the opporuntity to learn about the Bible using the Biggest Story Curriculum. 

4 Summer Camp: Each summer our students are invited to go to South Mountain Baptist Camp. The dates change from year to year, so please see Jessie Grant for more information. 

5. VBS: HBC loves VBS week! Jessie Grant does a great job getting our facilities ready and our members love meeting each student. Our 2024 VBS will be June 9th-14th and we'll be using Answers in Genesis.
